AbstractThe project focuses on the development of a model capable of generating the optimal robot trajectories to obtain a given shape, either for the manufacturing of a part or for the refurbishment of a geometrical defect. First, it will be necessary to build an experimental database, needed for calibrating the parameters of the model. A series of cold spray experiments will be conducted to this aim. Then, a general model will be developed, representative of experimental data and suitable for an automatic calibration procedure. Model parameters will be fitted for different materials and spraying conditions. Once the model will be calibrated and validated on simple cases, the problem of generating optimal robot trajectories for a given geometry, using an inverse modelling approach, will be attacked.
